♥ 17 Months ♥

 Just a few more days and my baby will be half way to 2 years old :{ makes me sad!! This has been a fun month as far as her speaking goes. This month she starting saying: pretty, bye, Mickey, nose, belly, eat, papa and can sign "bike & shoes". She also started to really come up with her own language this months and has been telling stories and just a lot of gibbery stuff has come out of her mouth. It's cute and I wonder what she thinks she is saying. I feel like she is starting to understand us more and talk more. For example, I said to her the other day "do you want to go see daddy?" she said "no mama" ... it was cute!! Switching from the baby food to real food has been a struggle for months, she wasn't eating so I did give her some baby food with dinner a few times, but with in the last few days she has ate oatmeal, blueberries, spaghetti-os, lunch meat, cheese, sausage, and pizza all of which she would never even let touch her lips before, so it's pretty exciting for me!! She went on her second vacation to Seattle this month. Since it's getting cooler outside, we've been going on bike rides often and she loves it! She'll sign bike as she is riding in the trailer or on her bike, it's pretty cool! She can put all her shoes on her feet now, she can also put her socks on all by herself. Her climbing is out of control, she is climbing up anything she can, the couch, down the changing table, up the bath tub wall, up the stove, up the chairs and onto the real table, up stairs, down stairs, off our bed, and she opens drawers in the kitchen and hangs on while trying to climb up the cabinet doors to get into the drawer! I think we need to get a big tree in the back for her to climb up next summer! She knows 8 words in sign language, she says please & thank you most time when I give her food, she tells me when she is hungry by signing "eat" and then will go to the pantry or fridge, she can stack 5 blocks, she likes to give "knuckles" - she'll even fold our hand into a fist and pound it and say "boom boom",  she can throw & roll balls, she can run, she can feed us ..  she loves to do that haha :), she has become really attached to one blanket and her tiny puppy, she tries to say binky, she hates to have her hair washed, she gets mad when she can't put her pants on & get even more mad when I try to help, she loves to dance, she can walk backwards, she loves Mickey Mouse, she has all her baby teeth through the gum, she loves being outside and is just a non-stop ball of energy and the biggest joy in our lives!
