Emily's 1st fishing weekend!!!

Since boating season has been officially kicked off at the Cormell household we also decided to kick of fishing season! I made a bucket list for Emily this summer and one thing was buy her a fishing pole & take her fishing. Well turns out she was so was over the moon excited to pick out a pink princess fishing pole & couldn't wait to use it!! Eric taught her how to drop the line & reel it in & she actually got it. We went out to the lake and she was having so much fun until it fell in the water & I wasn't able to grab it. It was a sad moment! So we went the next day & she got to pick out another pole & Eric modified it so it will float if she drops it again. Both poles came with a fish that you can tie to the line to cover the hook. So we put the fish on & she really thinks she is catching fishes & she gets so excited!! She yells "daddy blue fishy" and swings her pole around ... not really hook ready yet :) We caught some bass & she got to see & touch a real fish. It was exciting to her to see them but she doesn't really like touching them. The last couple days when Eric has got home from work she says to him "boat" and makes him take her out to the garage to sit in the boat & pretend to fish ... it's pretty cute!! I see this being a FUN summer memory maker!!!
