Eric was doing some announcing again this year at the Celebration of Flight so we thought we would take the camper down to the airport hanger and camp for the weekend because they do a couple shows and it would be fun to hang out and camp close to home in case it didn't work out with Emily, plus it would give Emily & I a place to chill out if it got to hot during the shows. Well we ended up not camping because there were too many people at the hanger late and it was just too loud for us to sleep, but we did enjoy hearing Eric doing his announcing and watching the air show.

They did a Missing Man Tribute to Eric's friend Bob Finer - REALLY special to watch...
Then they did a Tribute Pass also for Bob: Eagle and the Sparrow -Mark Peterson and John Chambers
There was a jet car - which was pretty awesome & extremely fast - I think they said it went over 400mph!
It's always fun to go to these shows and see the old planes and the history there & it's fun to listen to Eric do something that he is really passionate about. It will be more fun next year when Emily can really enjoy it too! It was sad not to have Bob there doing his normal performance, Eric misses his friend so much. They spent a lot of time traveling and doing the air shows together and I think it is pretty hard on Eric not having him here anymore & this show just brought back all those feelings. It was really special that they did the missing man because at his funeral the weather was too bad and they couldn't do it then, so it was great to see.
